The Dark Web Explained: What is it? Why is it important? How it affects Us?

Most of us think that “I heard the term web and know the details about it! But what is Dark Web? I think you’re misunderstanding the term, i.e Dark Mode right, this is the one you’re explaining right”

If you are think like that, then it is wrong, I’m not in confusion yes I’m going to explain the Dark Web. Here we want to explore the unknown details about web searching. Yes, we all think that web search is the very useful one for our daily life activities but it has many hidden things also. We only know the 20% of details about it remaining 90% are hidden as secrets. That 90% is called the dark web. This dark web has many advantages for both right and wrong. So today we have to dig the details about the dark web. As per regulation, first, we have to the definition, the deep web vs normal web vs dark web, and the pros and cons of the dark web, all these details are discussed here. So no further delay let’s get started.

Basically, the dark web is the decentralized network of sites on the internet that makes the users as anonymous as possible. For a better understanding of this concept we have to compare the following things, surface web, deep web, ad dark web.

Hey! What are the things you are going to discuss here? Because you’re using too many terms thus make us confusing so please clearly define it? Ok.

Ok, Deal and Cool. Here we compare three-term surface web, deep web, and dark web. To clear the confusion, I have to define each term step by step. The first one is the surface web; this is the one we regularly used for searching on the internet like content searching, online shopping, etc. The second one is the deep web, this is the one used for safe surfing, like authenticated pages such as login, bank transaction and etc are comes under this one. Basically, the first two are only 20% of the internet, and the remaining 80% have come under the dark web category. Now let’s revise the dark web definition again. Similar to the deep web, the dark web is the place was no one can identify you. Basically, the working mechanism of the dark and deep web is the same such that it will conceal the user’s identity, so it is not indexed by web search engines, which mean it gives more privacy and anonymity, core values of the internet, and functional features which protect the privacy rights of users of the World Wide Web. But unlike the deep web, the users of the dark web require special software and configurations to access the dark web contents.

According to this entire thing, you’re saying that the dark web is the safest place for us, right. This is your thought right.

But it is partially true and partially false. According to the true statement, it is the safest place for searching, here the user activity is completely anonymous because of darknet encryption technology, which routes user’s data through many intermediate servers, thus make unclear the user identity and location. This process is extremely difficult to trace and reproduce which makes it impossible to decrypt them. As a result, tracking one activity is impossible. But all these things are done using special software but it looks like our normal browser.

Ok, through all these things you know the positive side of the dark web but did you believe that if this one also acts as the negative one. Yes, I already told you that it has the cons also, so the following thing will define the limitation and the riskiest part of the dark web.

Basically, the common thought of the dark web is it is the place for hackers because it is best for them to gaining access to the resources without any risk. Because this place where no one can identify them. Apart from that, this is the place where all the illegal dealing is made like illegal transactions of things such as drugs, instruments and etc. another most shocking one is it is the place where the stolen user data are sold, such as the login credentials of one’s bank details. But here all of you have one doubt we can’t track the while the payment transaction. For that, our hackers are very smart because they use cryptocurrency for transactions; we all know that we can’t track them. Because they are the untraceable ones.

Ok if it has lots of risks then the government can take the appropriate action against it. This one is running on your mind right.

The answer for this one is it is impossible for the government to shut down. Because it is not a normal thing just pass the notice to close it. We have already seen in the definition part that the dark is the decentralized one, which means it is not controlled by one or two persons. It can be scattered across many places and it can be controlled by each participant who can take part in it. So closing down is an impossible thing.
