What Wikipedia won't tell you about IoB?

In our today's article, I’m going to explain the emerging technology called IoB (Internet of Behavior). But before going to the topic we have to know the answer to the following questions:

1)   Are you familiar with online shopping?

2)   Have you ever think about how the Google display the ads based on your recent searching?

3)   Did you ever hear about IoT?

For the first question, people had done at least one online shopping. So we all know that online shopping is nothing but buying this without going to the appropriate shops. But for the second question some of them know the answer but most of them get confused how. Here I’ll explain that to you. Our smart electronic devices are always tracking our working process especially while using the internet. Through this, our device collects our searching history and use it well wile show the advertisement. Now the second question will get the answer.

Final question is what is IoT? IoT – Internet of Things. It is a network of interconnected physical objects (like the smart appliances around us) that collects and exchange the information over the internet. The IoT is constantly expanding and evolving the scope of its complexity, i.e the way in which the devices are interlinked, basically the collected data are stored in the cloud storage. Now you’re all know that what is IoT? But how IoT connects with IoB.

The data collected through the IoT devices, provides valuable information about the consumer behavior, interests, and preferences, using these data the company will make the product that must satisfies the customer fully and make considerable profit for the company also. This situation is created through the help of IoB. Therefore, IoB is nothing but the extension of IoT. Now we can move on to the next topic how it will helps our daily life?

As per the definition you’re all know that the working process of IoB. But here I’ll explain the real-life scenario for better understanding of IoB.

Consider the health app on your smartphone that tracks your diet, step patterns, heart rate or blood sugar level. The app can alert you to adverse situation and suggest behavior modification towards a more positive or more desired outcome. Here I’ll explain only one situation but it will helps in many ways once it is fully developed. So most of the companies use IoT and IoB to observe and attempt to change our behavior to achieve their desire goal – to purchase typically.

Through this situation, now all of you understand that while the IoT is concerned with connecting devices, whereas the IoB is focused on connecting peoples and their behavior and it is mainly concerned with how best to utilize the data produced from this behavior.

As per the above given details all of you know that what is IoB and How it helps our real life. But according to the quote,

“No one is Perfect”

The IoB technology has one major con also which is nothing but the data security. We already know that IoB uses the user data for analyzing the consumer behavior, what happen if the data falls on the wrong hand?

This allows the cyber criminals to access the sensitive data, thus makes them to take advantage of them and do illegal activities. Trough this limitation you can’t come to the conclusion that this one is utterly fault. If we come to this type of conclusion then we can’t get any new technical advancement. So the way to use this fully is to create a new cyber security protocol that must prevent the illegal activity on the data.

I think now all of you understand the pros and cons of the IoB technology. So before going to the conclusion section, I have some questions for you:

1)   What would you do with this new IoB technology?

2)   What’s your suggestion to overcome the limitation of IoB technology?

These are my questions; use the comments section for further discussion. I’ll expect great questions from you. Thank You.
